Ethical approval was obtained from the Department of Technology and Psychology Ethics Committee (DTPEC) before the creation of the app to ensure that ethical consideration will be respected.

The app design fit the criteria for a DTPEC Ethics Amber Form.

The necessary information about the study and the aim of the research were presented verbally to participants, over Zoom and Facebook video call. Before the beginning of the research, participants were asked to gave their consent. The written  consent was obtained before participating in the study.

Minimum age to participate in the study was 18 years and maximum 65 years (although, our research focused on a student population therefore no one above 25 years was not a part of the study).

All participants in surveys and interviews were informed that their data could potentially be displayed in a website format. Some participants also gave their permission to publicly state their names.

The app did not contain any sensitive material, did not target a vulnerable population nor did the app include any deception. The app was purely made with good intentions in plan, in order to aid in student's organization, especially in such challenging times when online school is considered normal.
